Fake Lime Crime Velvetines

(Update: 06/15/2016- I recently made a Facebook page, just for those of you who wanted to be updated with future posts, or for those of you who just want to get in touch (or if you have any questions), you can visit it by click “Here” I hope I see you there soon! 😀 )

Okay, since I’m already convinced that the other two fake Velvetines that I ordered are no longer coming… I’m going to review them now!

I have two fake Lime Crime Velvetines, and like I said from my announcement; I was never deceived by the seller who sold me this; she actually informed me that they were replicas… But like the other sellers I encountered she was made to believe that these products were Singapore Authentic. Anyways, I already discussed that topic in my previous posts; so I wont dabble on that topic too much. But the seller I got these from is a college student who sells makeup part time for extra allowance.

Again, I got two shades; Faded and Cashmere. While the two that I ordered but never came; were Jinx and Salem. The fake Velvetines cost Php150.00 (Usd3.13) each. I’ve been testing these out for over a month now, and I can give a solid review. Though I’ll only compare them to photos that I’ve seen and reviews that I read.

Okay first, let’s talk about the box… as you can see… the box is red; both inside and out. The box is glossy, it has the product name printed on it and it has roses all-over it. Also, like real Lime Crime boxes they came with a sticker that serves as a seal on the top flap of the box, the sticker has all the details about the product, from the color name to the ingredients, it also has a batch code, but I noticed that both of my Velvetines has the same one. Also, the color of the sticker is based on the color or shade of the product inside.

Now straight to the packaging. The tube itself is matte, but the shade of the product still peeks through. The lid has a similar design to the box, and at the bottom of the tube is a print of the “batch code” that is the same as the one printed on the box and the other fake Velvetines. And it has a sticker on the bottom that says the name and the details.

However; compared to the real Velvetines, the lid of these lip products do not contain lime crime’s symbol on top of the lid/cap…

which looks like this! (credit goes to http://berryduchess.com/  for the link to the post containing this image click “here”.)

the size of the Velvetine compared to my other lip products (from L-R; San San Lip Glass, Bench Paint Box Lip Gloss, my fake NYX liquid lipstick, Sophie Paris Lip Gloss, Maybelline Baby Lips, Fake Lime Crime Velvetine, Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss).

How they look like on my hands.

The tube itself is smaller than what I anticipated, it has 2.6ml of product according to the bottom sticker.

Now let’s go to the product itself; the applicator is just a regular doe foot applicator, which applies the product in a way like every other doe foot applicators. The product smells like cake frosting, with a hint of something chemically-ish. The scent is not really that strong, it will fade after a while. The product themselves are very pigmented, you only need one coat and that’s enough. But by looking at swatches and photos online, I could already tell the difference these has to the original ones.

Here are the differences; one difference I noticed was the shades themselves… If you want an exact dupe of the genuine products, then you wont find them here, since even by looking at the pictures and reviews online I could already tell the differences. For one; the shade Cashmere supposed to be a grey-toned nude shade, the one I have reminds me more of a pink-toned nude… yeah no joke it’s that far across the shade chart. While Faded is supposed to be a purple-nude kind of shade while the one I have is a pink-ish vilolet one.

But really for me the difference is not a problem, since I actually like these shades…

Here are the swatches and lip swatches…

Here they are in action!

FADED

CASHMERE

Now, even if they look beautiful, they have drawbacks; which actually stemmed from another difference it has with the original. It DOESN’T dry MATTE… it is still a liquid lipstick, but it is NOT MATTE. It still retains a shine after it dries. And it does not completely dry. So you cannot blot your lips together, throughout the whole time you are wearing it. You can’t even lick your lips, since the moisture can cause the product on your lip to peel off or break apart; this also transfer. Also, it is buildable… but I do not recommend doing that with these, since that will cause you more problems than good, since just the slight touch of your lips together will cause a part to peel off.

But despite of all that, this bitch is a bitch to take off. It is long lasting as long as it doesn’t get wet and as long as you only apply one layer. Also, there are solutions for the problems above! Since it is not really matte, you can wear a gloss on top of it to make the peeling stop, and if you want it to be matte; blot it first with tissue.

How it wore: The first photo was taken at 07:18pm, the second Photo was taken at 7:39 after I drank a glass of Coke, the last one was taken at 10:23 pm, after I ate a full mean containing rice, adobo and again a glass of coke.

How it wore: The first photo was taken at 1:32pm, the second one at 3:04pm, the last one at 3:43pm… I didn’t eat nor drink throughout the whole program…

As you can see, the longevity of this product depends on the amount or the lack of moisture introduced to it, if you are going to eat a lot, then this will not work for you, but if you’ll just go out shopping or for a quick run to the store, then it will work.

Rating:

Packaging: 10/10 since it is both beautiful and convenient.

Longevity: 6/10

Smell: 7/10

Application: 8/10

Quality: 6.5/10

Overall: 7.5/10 Not too bad, especially for the price… But I think quality wise the Fake NYX product I featured “here” is much better. Again, I do not recommend using these products because of the risks; but if you want to use them or try them, then do it at your own risk…

(Update: 07/23/16, Now that I tried a lot of other liquid lipstick brands aside from these I realized that these are quite bad, even if they are just replicas. So I changed the rating of this from a 7.5 to a 6.0 yes that is currently the lowest rate I gave a product. Packaging: 10/10, Longevity: 4/10, smell: 7/10, application:6/10, Quality: 5/10, Comfort: 4/10

I still do not recommend the usage of any counterfeit products, there are a lot of risks involved in using these things; but if you still want to try them, then do so at YOUR OWN RISK.)

That’s all for now, see you all later and have a nice day! 😀

First Look of 2016:Simple Violet

LOOK 1: Violet

This all about violets, And as you can see, I got very carried away with the powder I used for my under eye area and my blush… I know that; no need to remind me. ( -_- ) But  believe me when I say that the blush is good, if it wasn’t for that white cast, this blush would look nice… But sadly, I got too carried away.

For the highlight on my cheeks I used the pale pink shade from the right, and for the blush, I used the one in the middle.

Photo3569.jpg

In this look I used that Black brow powder from Avon; this is a gift from my grandma who came home from the USA, this shit is old, but since it’s for the brows then, I deem it as still usable, but only for myself, I’ll never use this to clients… I don’t want to be sued. The crease shade I used here is the 2nd shade from the Ever Bilena Matte Trio in Tango and the shadows are those two from the Avon Fold-up Palette, I used the pale pink for inner corner, and brow bone highlight and and the light violet shade for the lid.For the lower lash line I used a rose gold eyeliner.

I also used the Fake Lime Crime Velvetine that I am testing out, in the shade Faded.

more angles…

So that is that for now folks; I hope you have a nice day. And see you all later!!! 😀

Beauty Care/Basic Cosmetology Graduation!!!

So last December 22, I graduated. My younger brother actually congratulated my by saying “Wow ate (a honorific used in the Philippines to address your older sister/ a woman you actually respect)! Na-unahan mo pa ko gu-mraduate ah!” Which roughly translates to: “Wow! You actually graduated before I do!” He’s a delightful kid…

Unlike other graduation ceremonies, we were not really required to wear anything too formal. We were only asked to look decent and wear white; And that’s the look I went for. Though there were people who went and wore dresses and heels. Also, unlike other commencement exercises; We didn’t start on time…

I swear they said the ceremony would start at 1:o0pm, I got out of my house t 1:28pm. I actually thought that the ceremony would almost be over by the time I get to our Municipal hall (The place where the graduation was held) ; but no! There were only a few people in the venue by the time I get there (about 1:38pm, it was just a 10 minute walk from my our house 😀 ), and the registration was in full swing. It was about 2:00pm when we were asked to get in line outside, it was another 10 minutes before things continued, a classmate of mine arrived and got registered within those 10 minutes… AMAZING!

After that everything went smoothly; so smooth that I was asked by my classmates to dance with them for a presentation… WASN’T THAT EMBARRASSING? We didn’t practice, it was a bit of a train-wreck, but fun nonetheless… especially because of the fact the at least three out of us four (including myself) can’t dance to save our lives! I was actually questioning my whole existence during the whole thing, with a matching Fucking idiotic smile on my face… FABULOUS!

But like I said it was fun, and a lot of us were happy.

ahem.. My certificate… on close-up

My certificate with a “proxy” diploma/certificate that the municipal hall people gave us during the ceremony…

Photo3291 .1

My Certificate, compared to another certificate that I received last October 30… The other program that I joined together with most of my classmates also had a graduation ceremony.

Here is how I looked like during that time if you’re curious… I was actually wearing a purple lipstick in both of the photos… But the Beauty Plus App that my classmates used when they took these washed the lipstick out…

See… PURPLE! These were taken using my phone… I asked my classmates to take the two above, because my battery died.

MY CERTIFICATES! THE PROOF THAT I DID FINISH SOMETHING/ DID SOMETHING GOOD IN MY LIFE!!! DAMMIT!

Now speaking of cosmetology, here are the photos of the look I made for the December 22, Graduation I’ll also quickly tell you the things I did to make it… Since I forgot what I did in Oct. 30 version, since I did that one in a hurry; I think you know that already judging by looks of my eyebrows on that one.

BTW if you are not interested on this part, you can actually skip it, and read another blog post. 😀

Firstly, I did my brows first (I’m redundant I know). I used clear mascara first to prep the brow hairs and shape it a little bit. Then I leave it alone, and let that dry for a while. While that place is still drying, I prep my lids using Beauty Treats L.A. Makeup Primer, and went and did my crease, by the way, I used my E.L.F. Little black beauty book Day Edition for the whole eyeshadow look, if you have trouble finding that particular palette, don’t worry, the shades in there are very dupable, I even saw one of the shades in there in another e.l.f. quad.

After I did my crease, I went back to the brows, I used my Ashley Shine eyebrow duo/kit in 04. I used the lighter brown in the inner part of the brows; I used the darker one on the outer part. I didn’t bother using a concealer to clean it up, since I’m running late…

Then I went back to the shadows! By the way,

Here are some pictures of the palette, like I said, these shades are quite dupable. (I might make a review for this palette, if it’s still available; so if it is, please comment it down!)

I used the matte white to blend out the crease, I used the peach one with fine shimmers under the matte white for my brow bone highlight; Both are from the right side of the palette. While I used the matte brown for my crease, I used the metallic gold shade for the lid, and the shade there that looks like a white with gold shimmers on the pan, but applies like a light yellowish gold on my inner corner.

Then I created my winged liner using a black liquid liner, the method I used is the “isosceles triangle” method. Then I lined the lower lash line with a champagne eyeliner.

Now for the face; I used a yellow-toned concealer on my under-eye, to correct the color of my eye bags, that is the only place I concealed. I didn’t bother to use a concealer my shade on top of the yellow toned one, and I didn’t use foundation because like what I said in my other post the humidity would just melt it right off and make me look like a melting jackass. I just set my whole face (including the concealed part of course) with a pressed powder a shade lighter than me because the pressed powder I usually use ran out. I just blended the powder down to my neck and chest, I also put some on my ears.

I also contoured very lightly (my nose, my forehead and my cheeks), using a matte bronzer, I used a matte peachy-coral blusher (I apply my blush starting from the outer part of my cheeks, a little bit above my contour, inwards, until there is a light wash of color on the apples of my cheeks) and I also highlighted lightly using a bronze highlighter on my cheeks, tip of my nose and my cupid’s bow.

Then for the lips I used one of my FAKE Lime Crime Velvetines that I’m testing out; The shade is in Cashmere. I didn’t use anything else just so I can see how long it will last and how drying it can be.

And that is that for now folks! I hope you had fun while reading this and see you all later! 😉

Announcement: I Found FAKE Lime Crime Products!

(Update: 06/15/2016- I recently made a Facebook page, just for those of you who wanted to be updated with future posts, or for those of you who just want to get in touch (or if you have any questions), you can visit it by click “Here” I hope I see you there soon! 😀 )

I found some fake Lime Crime lipsticks and velvetines, I was just wondering if you want to see a review for those?

You see, there is a seller living near my house; about 3 blocks away. This is a different seller. And this seller is also one of those honest ones that says that the products are replicas. I already ordered two, fake velvetines in Faded and Cashmere.

I was just wondering if you want to see a review or lip swatches, please like if you want to. 🙂

P.S. While I was on my On the Job Training (OJT), I met a very despicable person… The Salon employees gets their personal makeup products from her. She visits them every 5th and 20th of each month (because pay day is the 15th and 30th) and she sells her items in a “buy now, pay later” system. She sells her fake Mac, Nyx and Naked lipsticks for Php250.00 (Usd5.29) which is Php100.00 more than the usual price sellers sells them for, and she sells an obviously fake Naked 3 that looks like this (but with different shades):

Naked

I got this from my friend’s Facebook page; I am not going to link it for her protection.

For Php550.00 (Usd11.64)!!! Php400.00 (Usd8.46) more than the usual price sellers sells these for… and to top it all off; the bitch had the balls to call these GENUINE; FROM THE USA and she got them DIRECTLY FROM THE FUCKING FACTORY! DAMMIT! I want to flip her the bird the moment those words came out of her mouth… but I can’t since we were inside the salon. But I really want to.

Okay, I need to relax for a little bit…

(UPDATE!!!(01/18/16): I already have a review up, click “here” if you’re interested in reading! 😉 )

So… That’s all for now folks and see you all later! 😀
