31 Days of Makeup: Day 15- Neutral

Hello there! This is a continuation of yesterday’s shit. But this time I can actually say random out of the blue profanity because this one is not going to be on my personal FB account!

In this look I used a very dark glittery metallic shade on the lids, I gotta say 1/4 of the glitter/shimmer on that shade ended up all over my face, my pillow my body every-fucking-where, and that is just 1/4 of the shimmers, most ended up on my lids since they are not chunky as fuck. Anyways, my point here is even shimmery neutrals are very workable, dark shimmery neutrals to be specific. If you read my post yesterday, I stressed out that the easiest eye looks are made from light matte neutrals. Here I’m basically showing you the opposite.

Here is the catch though, these types of looks requires a lot of blending but not as much as blending bright shades. This requires less transition shades and less blending compared to your purples, pinks, reds, blues and greens and black.

Like I said neutrals are the most basic shades you can use.

That’s all for now folks and see you all later! 😀

31 Days of Makeup: Day 7- Warm Toned Halo

So, I saw a lot of stuff on YouTube about halo eyeshadow and I said to myself… it’s been a long while since I tried doing that so I did one now. I paired it with a bold lip just for kicks. Unlike my other looks I didn’t use a foundation for this one since I’m too lazy today to do so, and I do not want to scrub my face hard tonight.

So what do you guys think? Good or Not good?

That’s all for now folks and see you all later! 😀

31 Days of Makeup: Day 6- Mermaid Eyes

Okay, contrary to what I always do… I used a model for today’s 31 days of makeup post. My model for today is the lovely Ms. Mae Ane. She was one of my classmates in the cosmetology program I took last year, we did all these inside the salon she manage, yes she manage a salon. She is an excellent beautician and I am honored to do her makeup. She specializes more on hair though.

She requested a green and purple themed look and I delivered. 😉

(please do not mind the scary looking beast behind her… that’s just me…)

Above are behind the scenes photos while I was doing her makeup and making a fool out of myself.

So that’s all for now folks and see you all later! 😀

31 Days of Makeup: Day 3- Purple and Pink

I have been a huge fan of this color combo since I tried it back in 2013, back then I used my Meis Palettes. What’s weird though is that I’ve been doing looks like these for almost 3 years and I haven’t posted posted a single photo of these type of looks on this blog… Well I’m changing that now. So here you go guys!

P.S. I know my eyebrows looks weird in here, and it will still look weird on tomorrow’s post… please just ignore it…

That’s all for now folks! 😀

31 Days of Makeup: Day 1-1960’s Mod Inspired Smokey Eye

31 days of makeup or 30 days of makeup has been done a lot of times… And it is a very over-used concept, but it is a challenge: Can you do 31 looks that are different each day?

Challenge accepted, I can do 31 very different looks… can I upload every single fucking day… I don’t fucking know, but I’ll try. For the 1st day I’m going with this look, this is inspired by the 1960’s Mod trend, but not exactly like it. Why, because back in those days smokey aye is not that popular, the thing I borrowed from Mod in here is the black and white color scheme and the very pale lips.

So that’s all for now folks and see you all later! 😀

Second Hand Mac Palette ;-) (Not a review)

I bought a second hand Mac Palette, and I am happy. Since I can’t afford these shit on full price.

I got this from a friend who has a relative that works at a Mac store in Dubai. The said relative sent my friend a lot of barely used Mac products, this one in particular was brand new when she got it, she used it once and she decided that these shades are not her style; so she sold it to me for Php650.00 since she used it already.

Now I’m going to tell you a story, my friend got two of these times 9 palettes, an Amber one and a Burgundy one… I bought the burgundy one, when I got at her house the other girl that was there was buying the Amber one, both that girl and I got curious about each other’s palettes and we took them out of their boxes to compare, both boxes looks exactly the same, after we looked at each other’s palettes we went our separate ways, I was already home when I noticed that we accidentally interchanged the boxes… the box I’m showing you up there is the box for Amber Times Nine…

This is how the packaging looks like, it came with a pretty unique plastic sleeve, it has magnetic closure and the finish of the packaging on the outside is matte, the inside is glossy.

Here are some swatches… I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with the quality of these shadows all it took to get that color pay-off from these swatches was a single swipe, that’s it. I didn’t need to work hard to get it to work. But really, to me if you are paying more than Php500.00 for makeup, it should work like that. This palette in full price is about Php1547.99 which is a lot…

Over-all I like this palette and I’m glad I bought it.

That’s all for now folks and see you all later! 😀

My Kind of Eyeshadows

I do not follow trends. I think that is already clear to most of the people who actually read my blog and do not only stop by to read my “Fake Lime Crime” Review, which I won’t be linking here. First of all,  I do fake cosmetics review, and I actually use them on my face, most beauty bloggers are afraid of doing that. I’m just a blogger, not a beauty blogger, I only do makeup and review makeup since that is the only thing about beauty that I am actually good at, I suck at pretty much anything else.

I’m also one of the cheapest bitches out there, I shop at thrift shops, bargain stores and flea markets. I’m a bigger fan of drugstore makeup than high end. And I do not care if I’m as fat as a bulldozer, I care about actually eating and not getting hungry than looking pretty in your eyes. With all that said let’s go to the topic at hand; eyeshadows.

Eyeshadows is not everyone’s cup of tea, same with high heels, green tea, fish, chicken or vegetables. It is not something most people want, it is not something that most people reach for. But this is actually where my fascination with makeup started.

It started when I came across a tutorial in youtube. I saw the girl putting on some eyeshadow and I thought that she looked like she was painting. And then I tried doing it too, using my mom’s stuff (since I can’t be bothered with makeup before I was 15-16 years old, I was too be busy spending the cash I save on Art materials and Anime merch.) and I failed…

But I did not stop doing it until I get to this point.

same with drawing, I started with stickman drawings before I get to this:

Well, enough of that… let’s go back to eyeshadows.

if you are wondering why my eyes looked so dead in these pictures… probably because I’ve been dead inside for a long time now, but hey I still survive! 😀

As you can see here and in most of my other looks; I favor cooler tones on my eyes. But, I do wear warm tones when I feel like wearing them. But most of the time I go for cooler ones, just because 1) I like the way they look, 2) I just feel relaxed whenever I look at cooler colors, 3) cooler shades and colors fades my anger a little bit, whenever I get angry. That’s why I favor the color in almost anything, most of the colors of anything that I bought myself are cooler toned, black, greys, blues, and deep browns.

I also like jewel tones when it comes to eyeshadows. Greens mostly, purples I do wear them too, but not as much as greens, blues… nope, I just don’t like blue eyeshadows, period.

I do wear neons too, I’m not afraid of bright colors, but I don’t always do it.

I also like basic metallic shades, like gold, rose gold, champagne and silver. I rarely wear shimmer finishes, I do not wear glitter eyeshadows and my most loved finish is matte. I’ll rock an only mattes eye look any day.

When it comes to eyeshadow brushes, I can use pretty much anything. I do not care if it’s cheap or expensive, as long as it does not scratch the fuck out of my eyes, I’m good.

To put things short; I like eyeshadow looks that are cool toned and very loud even if it’s neutral, I still want it to be loud, my philosophy with eyeshadows is go all out or  nothing. I’ll go out with a full glam or nothing at all.

either this:

or this:

or even this:

but sometimes when I go out like this, I get mistaken for a 14 or 15 year-old kid. Which is not good if I stay out beyond 10:00 pm since I get stopped by police and barangay officers a lot, since we have a curfew now here in the Philippines, all minors are prohibited to be outside of their respective homes beyond 10:00 pm if you get caught your parents will be penalized, either they will pay a fine, do community service or serve jail time depending of the number of offence of their child. Thank God I have my voter’s ID already. 😀

One of the reasons why I love eyeshadows is that I feel like I’m creating art every time I do it, I feel like I was painting or drawing. And I love that feeling.

I hope you guys had fun reading this and I hope you can tell me the type of eye looks you like in the comments, I honestly want to know.

That’s all for now. And see you guys later!!! 😉
